M.D./M.P.H. Dual-Degree Option

Earn an M.D. and M.P.H. Concurrently

The Foster School of Medicine and UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in El Paso offer a dual-degree option leading to both a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) and a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.). The program is available to students matched to the Foster School of Medicine who also apply to and are admitted by UTHealth Houston School of Public Health.

Students enroll separately at both universities and receive two degrees after successfully completing each institution’s requirements. Coordinated coursework reduces duplication and may allow students to complete both degrees more efficiently than pursuing them independently.
