Resident Wellness and Community

At our program, wellness is more than physical health—it’s encompassing mental, spiritual, social, and environmental aspects. We prioritize residents' fulfillment and personal growth through engaging activities and supportive spaces.

Wellness Activities

Protected Wellness Time:
Residents enjoy a half-day (1:00 pm – 5:00 pm) of protected time for wellness activities every three months. Activities include:

  • Bowling
  • Arcade games
  • Axe-throwing
  • Food trips
These fun and relaxing events help residents unwind and recharge.

Residents’ Lounge

Our residents' lounge is a fully equipped space designed for relaxation, socialization and nourishment. Residents are empowered to transform this shared space.

Celebrating Birthdays

Each month, we host a mini celebration at the residents’ lounge that includes food, cake and group camaraderie to celebrate milestones together.

Residency Retreat

Annual Full-Day Retreat:
Each year, residents are excused from clinical duties to participate in a program-wide retreat. This retreat is a meaningful opportunity for connection, reflection and innovation. Activities include:

  • Team bonding and camaraderie-building exercises
  • Reflective discussions on experiences and program feedback
  • Collaborative brainstorming for program improvements

Resident Assistance Program

The Resident Assistance Program supports residents by providing access to confidential assistance and resources for personal, emotional and professional challenges. This resource reflects our program's commitment to supporting resident wellness, resilience and overall well-being throughout training.
