Withdrawal Information

Before withdrawing from all courses for a term, contact your school’s Office of Student Affairs. Staff can help you review your options and understand how withdrawal may affect your degree progress, financial aid eligibility, and possible repayment obligations to the institution or federal government.

Withdrawal Questions

Before the first day of class: To drop one or more courses while remaining enrolled in others, use the MyTech El Paso tab in the WebRaider Portal by the applicable deadline for that part of term.

After census day: You may be unable to drop a course if you have a registration hold or, for undergraduate programs, have reached the state limit on course drops.

Withdrawing removes you from all courses for the term and may inactivate your student account. Undergraduate students should contact their Office of Student Affairs for readmission information.

If you withdraw early in a term, you may qualify for a partial refund based on the withdrawal date. Review refund information from Student Business Services.

If you receive financial aid, withdrawing may reduce or cancel your aid for the term and may affect future eligibility. Contact Student Financial Aid before withdrawing to review your options.

If you receive financial aid, contact Student Financial Aid before withdrawing.

Resolve all holds before submitting a withdrawal request. You can review holds in the WebRaider Portal.

If you withdraw after the 12th class day, a grade of W will be assigned to all courses. A W is nonpunitive and does not affect your GPA.

Contact your school’s Office of Student Affairs to confirm the withdrawal process and applicable deadlines.
