Interventional Neurology Fellowship
The Interventional Neurology Fellowship at Texas Tech Health El Paso is a two-year advanced training program designed to prepare physicians for independent practice. Fellows develop procedural expertise through supervised clinical experience, progressive responsibility and training across multiple hospital settings.
Training Experience
Fellows progress from closely supervised procedural and clinical work to increasing levels of responsibility as skills and judgment develop
Clinical development
- Evaluation and management of patients with neurovascular disease.
- Participation in procedural planning and peri-procedural care.
- Experience across academic, community and pediatric hospital settings.
Progressive responsibility
- Supervised clinical and procedural responsibilities.
- Increasing autonomy based on demonstrated competency.
- Preparation for independent interventional neurology practice.
Applicant Eligibility
Applicants must hold a valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States and be board certified or board eligible in neurology, neurosurgery or neuroradiology through an American Board of Medical Specialties member board.
Eligible training pathways
- Neurology residency plus a one-year ACGME-accredited vascular neurology fellowship at the PGY-6 level.
- Neurology residency plus a two-year UCNS- or ACGME-accredited neurocritical care fellowship at the PGY-7 level.
- ACGME-accredited neurosurgery residency at the PGY-8 level.
- Radiology residency plus a one-year ACGME-accredited neuroradiology fellowship at the PGY-7 level.
