Visiting Students

Visiting Student and Learner Activities

Texas Tech Health El Paso provides appropriate monitoring and oversight for students, visitors, and others who participate in approved campus activities. Because the campus can accommodate only certain programs, all visiting student and learner activities must fall within the scope of this policy.

Informal Observerships Are Not Permitted

Texas Tech Health El Paso does not allow informal observerships, shadowing, or mentoring activities outside of official campus programs. Only students who are part of approved programs or activities may participate.

Faculty and staff members may not independently engage, sponsor, supervise, or allow any activity by a student, observer, or other visitor unless the activity complies with this policy.

Locations Covered by This Policy

This policy applies to activities on the Texas Tech Health El Paso Paul L. Foster School of Medicine campus and at remote sites, including University Medical Center and other hospitals or facilities where faculty participate in professional activities.
