How to Apply (Step-by-Step Guide)
Step 1: Submit Your Online Application
- Complete and submit your application before the deadline.
Step 2: Submit Supporting Documents
Required Documents:
- Personal Statement
- Describe your motivation for applying and career goals.
- Two Letters of Recommendation
- Unofficial Transcripts
- Transcripts must come from all accredited U.S. institutions attended.
Important: Applications will not be reviewed until all supporting documents are received.
Step 4: Track Your Application Status
- Ensure all required documents are received before the deadline.

Important Program Details
Time Commitment:
- Full-time (40+ hours/week) – Schedule depends on lab experiments.
- No summer school or second job allowed – This is an intensive program.
Final Research Presentation:
- All interns must present their research at the end of the program.
Eligibility & Restrictions:
- Former SABR interns cannot reapply.
SABR interns who apply to a Texas Tech Health El Paso academic program may be eligible
for an application fee waiver at the dean’s discretion.
