The Department of Family and Community Medicine at Texas Tech Health El Paso trains future physicians through medical education, a family medicine residency, and a sports medicine fellowship at the Family Medicine Center at Kenworthy, Transmountain, and across the El Paso–Mexico border region.
Family Medicine at Kenworthy
The Family Medicine Center at Kenworthy serves as a clinical training site for medical students and residents, providing hands-on experience in comprehensive primary care within the El Paso community. Kenworthy is also home to our Sports Medicine fellowship, which trains physicians in the evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries and illnesses.

Located on a hillside overlooking El Paso, Las Cruces, and Juárez, our Transmountain campus is home to the Family Medicine Residency Program, which trains physicians to serve diverse and underserved populations across West El Paso and the surrounding physician shortage areas. The curriculum brings a border-health and international perspective to residency training, reflecting our binational location.
