Characteristics of Doctoral Programs

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) requires public and health-related institutions (HRIs) to publish information on their websites regarding the "Characteristics of Texas Public Doctoral Programs" of each doctoral program offered at the institution.

The Characteristics of Doctoral Programs were developed by the THECB for ongoing evaluation and quality improvement, and "to provide a snapshot of doctoral programs offered by Texas public universities and health-related institutions. The information presented in the Characteristics serves as a reference for the general public who are interested in doctoral education, including prospective students and their families".

Texas Tech Health El Paso currently offers one doctoral program ‒ the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree program in the Paul L Foster School of Medicine.
